  • August 27, 2020 – Application due to CDE from County Offices of Education

  • September 3 – 10, 2020 – Review of Written Application

    • Virtual format this year
    • Rubric is available at CDE website
  • September 11, 2020 – Finalists are notified and teaching videos are requested
  • September 20, 2020 – Unedited teaching video due to CDE
  • September 25, 2020 – Finalists Interviews scheduled with SSPI
  • October 8- 9, 2020 – Interviews with State Superintendent of Public Instruction conducted
  • October 16, 2020 – SSPI Announces 2021 CATOYs
  • October 30, 2020 – National Teacher of the Year Application is due to CCSSO
  • Fall 2020 – Additional Events & Opportunities for our 2021 CATOYs will be announced
  • SSPI Initiatives Essay: Statewide Literacy; Reducing Chronic Absenteeism; Closing the Achievement Gap; and Jobs for Tomorrow (STEAM)
